The ALC-NYC is in Urgent Need of Help to Find a New Home!

As the organizer of this fundraiser, a parent of a child in the program, and the spouse of a facilitator, I want to share the story of the Agile Learning Center, and shine some light on the crisis that threatens the existence of this amazing collective.

This school a community of learners and facilitators who work together to form a communal educational experience for young people ranging in age from six to eighteen. In an era where education can be a privilege instead of a right, the Agile Learning Center stands firm in their mission to ensure that every child, regardless of background, receives the tools they need to thrive and find their own voice, passion, and path.

The center has spent more than a decade nestled in East Harlem, renting from a church, but a recent inspection of the space has led to a chain of events that may prevent them from returning after break.

The ALC-NYC has very little time to find a new home, and we need to move quickly!

Your support is crucial. We estimate the combination of leasing a new space, making it ready for our community, and moving everything into that space will cost at least $40,000. Funds raised will directly impact the lives of this community by helping them:
