Hi, I am creating the fundraiser to help Volunteer Hero's who Rescue, Trap, Vaccinate, Neuter, Release, and More. They help these forgotten abandoned, feral, and lost cats & kittens & Reduce the population. These special unpaid volunteers, dedicate countless hours & days to complete this job.
Rescues can be dangerous, emotional & mentally draining due to conditions . Shelters & rescues Do Not hire or train TVNR people. These
groups depend on outside volunteers & the community
This fundraiser is in Memory of Mama Faith, shown in the photo.
- My Lowes Stray Store Cat, Mama Faith, Died alone in the store recently. Missing for a few days, While searching the store, an employee told me she's Dead ! I was devastated; I had been attempting to trap Faith for spaying & perhaps find her a home. I grew very fond of Faith after months of caring for her and her Kittens.
- Faith was a young Mother found abandoned at Lowes. She had 3 litters of Kittens in less than a year. Kittens would be found wandering the aisles. Lowes can be dangerous, they have many poison rat traps inside & outside the store. These traps could cause a painful death if any animal ate the affected rats.
- I was inexperienced trapping, but i was determined to try to help Mama & her Kittens. I trapped Mama Faith at one point but released her because, i hadn't trapped the kittens. Big Mistake. I later found out from the experienced trappers. Kittens were old enough to catch at another time. It took us a month to trap 2 of the Kittens.
- Final Kitten was difficult, becoming past the age of being adoptable. I had no choice but to socialize him in the store. The 4-month-old Kitten, now called Finn, was leary at first. I fed him daily on the chainsaw shelf at Lowes, where I first met him, Mama Faith & Siblings. Mama Faith watched as Finn ate his food, and waited before she would eat. Mama lay on the shelves as I talked to them. I played in the middle aisle of Lowes's with Finn. I spent a great deal of time with them. I Loved them. These were My Lowes Cats!
- I was able to get Finn & bring him home. He enjoyed his 1st pets & cuddles from a human. He adapted well to being a house cat instead of a Lowes Cat. I had a place for Mama Faith at my house as well. I set a trap the day I took Finn. Mama's final kitten was gone & she knew. She went missing for 3 days. She loved her older Kittens. This former cat house cat was not part of the feral community. She stayed with her kittens because they were both her Kittens & companions.
- CHIEF THE RESCUE /TVNR SUCCESS STORY
This cat was found in a different Lowes parking lot close to death with a chunk taken out of his back & part of his tail missing. Caring people posted him on Community Cat of the Palm Beaches TNR Group for help asking for help. The TVNR volunteers sprang into action. Trappers had to spend 24 hours to find severely injured cat. They trapped him with good old fashioned Kentucky Fried chicken.
Purrizilla Cat Rescue took him to the vet. Even with the nature of his horrific nature of his injuries he was able to be saved. Vet had to remove his tail but major organs were luckily still ok. He got his name Chief & is now in Foster Care. Thankfully some money was raised for his Vet care.
