Help save The Goat House

"Urgent and Deeply Sad Update" Early in the morning of Feb 6th Dennis Robert Krugman lost his battle with dementia. Now Maurice and Christopher grief stricken are not only in fear of their sinking house but may lose the farm all together. Please help me save this community gathering spot and their home.

Baltimore Channel 2 just did a beautiful story on The Goat House Farm after Dennis's passing.

Three years ago, my friends, Maurice and Christopher, bought a house with our friend Dennis, who had been diagnosed with dementia several years before. They got a house in Northeast Baltimore and became his caretakers. Many people know their house as The Goat House. They have seven goats out front and have become a regular visiting spot for many people in the city. This was going to be a dream place for Dennis to be able to spend the last few years of his life on an urban farm with his best friends and goats.

Unfortunately, they were scammed into buying a sinking house. They have tried to get legal help for the last three years but have unsuccessfully attained a lawyer. They're realtor and inspection company have both threatened them with defamation of character for telling the truth on what they have been going through since purchasing the home. They have had several inspections on their home, that confirm that it is sinking and land is washing out from under them. There are cracks on their walls, doorways are uneven and floors are unlevel. They fear for their safety as cracks get larger and more appear. They have gotten estimates at $55-85k for securing the foundation and $65k-$85k for leveling floors. They were featured on channel 11 and have started an Instagram called OurBadApple , as well as a blog where they shared their story and interaction with the owner of the inspection company. There is so much more for them to share.

I am asking you to help them to be able to hire the contractor who gave them a low bid of $55k to fix their foundation. They need to be in a safe home. Please help me help them so they can continue to help Dennis and the community.
