HELP SAVE THE HI SPOT

Through three decades of business, The Hi-Spot has given everything we could to support the community that sustains us. We've never sought more than the loyal patronage we've received over the decades, a gift we don't take for granted in an industry that sees 60% of restaurants fail within the first year. But considering the pandemic that has shuttered businesses nationwide, we'd be foolhardy not to turn to our friends when we need it. Many of you have asked how to help; here is that opportunity.
Like every restaurant, The Hi-Spot still faces expenses during this health crisis. Our doors remain open for now, but despite our best efforts, (reducing hours, massive layoffs, and kitchen staff volunteering their time) we’ve had to close the restaurant. This is all in the face of mounting utility bills, payroll, rent, etc.
For 31 years, The Hi-Spot has remained unwavering in a city in constant flux. While whole blocks seemingly transform overnight, we've endured largely thanks to Mike Walker's singular focus in investing in our staff. In an industry notorious for its high turn-around, The Hi-Spot proudly boasts a kitchen whose average tenure exceeds 20 years, and a staff that has become a family working in a restaurant that's become a home. During these unforeseen and indefinite circumstances, we look to you for help in ensuring that, when this crisis passes, there is a home to come back to. Not just for us, but for you, our customer—our friend.
