Help Save the Kromah Gallery
Join me in preserving the legacy of the Kromah Gallery, Inc., a 501 (c)3 organization, which I and my husband started in November 1978. Through our efforts and those of our friends, benefactors, and supporters, we have maintained a significant and steady presence in Baltimore, Maryland. We have done this via various venues, large and small, culminating in the home-based gallery, open to the public, that we have maintained since 2014. The opening of the Kromah Gallery over 4 decades ago, represented the first time African-American artists in Baltimore could showcase their work in a public setting. This opportunity elevated the visibility of African-American art and launched the careers of numerous artists over the years.
The Kromah Gallery now is at a crossroads. It has served as the cornerstone for the presentation of African-American art and it speaks to what we as a community value in terms of the public viewing of local African and African-American art. The Kromah Gallery needs your support to continue this legacy and keep it accessible to today's aspiring artists and our young children so that they can benefit from the value and importance of art and artistic expression. Help us continue our mission of elevating the awareness and importance of supporting experimental, innovative, educational art-based programs.
Your donation of any amount will help make an impact and go towards assuring that the doors of the gallery remain open. Thank-you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
