Due to some inconvenient and unforeseen circumstances the P&H Cafe is unfortunately having to move to a different location. We are looking to our wonderful community built of our amazing family, friends, and patrons (old and new) for some assistance. When it was decided to try to move from the current location, the nerves started sparking with all that were affected. We had a lot of variables to think of. The costs involved, where to go, changes to be made, etc. There were several locations looked at and decided against for various reasons, but finally a location popped up that looks extremely promising. That's when the planning began, although far behind schedule.
After a couple of initial quotes on a kitchen build out, it was found that all available funds would be exhausted. That is $20,000 for a vent hood, $10,000 in plumbing, electrical, masonry. Add in the rent and deposit, and all the initial start up costs, it all adds up. All licenses have to be applied for after the building is ready, and an initial inspection will have to be passed.
The only major change in the venue's persona will be to apply for a liquor license, which would help cover costs of the increased leasing price. Without the sale of liquor and wine, this move would be extremely difficult to afford. We're hoping to only be shut down for a few months, just enough to get everything up and running, however we really need support to make it happen. Any support that can be given would be most graciously appreciated.
In the near future, we will be hosting a P&H Telethon later this month, and multiple art auctions and mini-live shows to help with our funding! These will feature your favorite local bands, comics, and artists who have graced the venue with their presence! So make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for info to all of that!
Thank you to each and every one of our loyal customers, near and far, for your love and support every day!
