Help Save The Park on Calder in Beaumont

My name is Deondre Moore, owner of The Park on Calder Restaurant & Bar. In September 2023, my family and I opened this restaurant & bar in Beaumont, TX to bring something new and fresh to the city we love dearly and call home.

The establishment that we currently occupy has never been occupied nor owned by Black business owners until now. From the day we opened, we began to experience pushback from non-Black residents, city officials, and the Beaumont Police Department. Over the past year, we have continued to endure constant harassment and threats by the Beaumont Police Department and tactics to continue deterring people from patronizing our business, and it has caused us to take an unfortunate path to closing our doors.
