Help Save the Post!

We are reaching out to our community for financial support in hopes of being able to preserve one of the most authentic venues for the fellowship of house music in Chicago. Even before the member's post, Sheldon has been curating music events and contributing to the musical culture of Chicago for decades since the birth of house within the city. Bridging the gap between newer generations and old, people from all over the world have gone to the southside to be able to commune to the sounds of musical legends such as Ron Carroll, Gene Hunt, Theo Parrish, Rahaan, Terry Hunter, Darryn Jones, Sadar Bahar, Mike Dunn, Duane Powell and more alongside new school selectors and such as Deon Jamar, Erika Kane, Tommaso, Material, Garrett David, He Valencia, CtrlZora and a plethora of others through their monthly events. The authenticity and love that was put into not only the environment but the sound system created by Sheldon himself is like no other. On March 18th, on the night of headliners Theo Parrish and Gene Hunt, the post had been targeted to be shut down by the Chicago City police. Not only are we needing to raise legal fees, but we are also calling upon our supporters to help raise money for renovations & any additional licensing the city is requiring of the Post to keep the establishment running. Such a place that is a preservation of Chicago culture cannot afford to cease.
