Help Save The Wing Suite: $5 Donation

I'm Kartisha Henry, owner of The Wing Suite. If you know me, I'm usually the one giving help, advice, mentorship, funds, or simply showing up in any way I can to support. So this is so unlike me to ask for help. I actually had to be convinced to create this request. I'm here because I've exhausted all the options I know to sustain The Wing Suite. This is my (BUT GOD) moment. I need your help, if you feel moved to do so.

My ask is $200K. Much more is needed, but this is enough to provide a few months of operating costs, which is roughly $50K a month.

A little backstory about The Wing Suite... I started the restaurant 6 years ago. My husband and I were looking for a wing restaurant to support in our neighborhood. I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to create it. During this time, I've employed more than 96 youth in my community, volunteered in the school system, donated countless meals and funds to schools, non-profits, and even those that came in and simply didn't have enough to pay for their meals. I have a big ask, but I serve a BIG GOD, so I know if it's in His will, it shall be done.

Just over 2 years ago, I decided to expand The Wing Suite brand by opening a 2nd location so that I could continue to provide all the above and more. That journey took more than 19 months to bring to life. I did not anticipate the amount of time it would take to open the doors for location #2. The entire process was full of long wait times, bad contractors, failed inspections due to shoddy contractor work, and numerous projects that had to be ripped out and redone. There were existing issues with the space that had nothing to do with me, but I had to bring it to code. All of these things came with a huge cost. I wasn't prepared financially for ALL the "what if's." So in a nutshell, I had to go find funds to complete all these hiccups. My debt has now outweighed my revenue, which basically means there's not enough to pay the bills. I've exhausted all the ways I know to climb out. If I'm unable to raise the funds I need, unfortunately, The Wing Suite has served its last wing and community for the last time. I appreciate all your help. No amount is too small.
