Help Save the Yamhill Pub from Covid 19

Donation protected
I would like to start out by saying this has been a difficult year for everyone. So many have had to sacrifice so much and lost so much. I bought the bar in 1994 and have been operating it for the last 27 years. The bar itself has existed since 1933. It is one of the few bars in Downtown Portland that has been able to withstand the test of time. It has been my pleasure to serve our customers over the years. We have an eclectic group of individuals that come and visit us everyday. I am so appreciative and grateful for those that have become regular customers and that I've gotten to know over the years and have impacted my life. I can't thank you enough for your support. I have been touched by the generosity and kindness of our customers to support each other within the Yamhill Pub community over the years. I have been fortunate to have great employees that have shared their talent, knowledge and ability to connect with our customers. I have always tried to keep the pub a place that has been inclusive and welcome to everyone. We try to keep our prices low so everyone can come and enjoy. In March when we had the first lockdown it was pretty shocking and overwhelming. Fortunately, we had some savings and were able to qualify for some assistance through the PPP program. We were closed for 3 months and we were able to weather that storm and hire back all of our employees in June. We had been managing and were able to pay our bills and give our employees some hours. It hasn't been ideal but we have been making it work and staying above water. Asking for help is usually not my way but with the new restrictions and the limitations the state has put on us I don't know how much longer we can sustain. Our resources are limited. I would like to think that we could open back up on December 16th but I'm anticipating another 3 month lockdown. Any donations that we would receive would go directly to paying rent, utilities and miscellaneous bills for the pub along with helping us to open back up. Keeping the Pub going allows us to continue employing our employees, provide for my family and continue offering a place for our customers. So many of our bars and restaurants that we enjoy are closing. I know that the vitality of our business is reliant on the success of other businesses around us. I love what I do and hope to continue operating the Yamhill Pub. Thank you for your support and any donations.
