"We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone"
Hello friends, family and everyone who is interested in helping save the life of 2 year-old Tymur Hlushchuk.
Tymur of Ukraine was recently diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a malignant bone cancer typically occurring in children.
A few words from Tymur parents Pavel and Natalia:
"During the holidays, our son Tymur developed a fever lasting several days. Initially, doctors suspected an intestinal infection; however, after 3 days of taking the proper antibiotics his fever persisted rising above 39 degrees Celsius or 102 Fahrenheit. We called the ambulance again.
Doctors performed a more fulsome blood test which showed that our son had right-sided pleurisy, which produces inflamed tissue around the lungs and chest. We remained in the hospital, and after conducting a series of tests, physicians concluded that our son had a malignant bone tumor.
Based on our research, we made the decision to take Tymur abroad to increase his chances of survival. Tymur has been in a clinic in Turkey since November. He has already received over four chemotherapy treatments and there is still radiotherapy and surgery ahead of him. We are now completely out of funds with additional costs expected to be nearly $200,000 US... We don't have that kind of money, we simply don't. The vision of the financial wall that prevents us from treating our own child is terrifying. We are asking for support from all our friends of friends and families of families around the globe who are willing to help us.
Tymur is only two years old and this is not the time to die. With your support and any contribution small or large will greatly contribute to his recovery and chance for survival. We thank you so much for your consideration as we embark on this crusade to save our son. With love!"
