Help save Yeilla’s life
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
Rene and Soraya Matos woke up to their daughter Yeilla screaming in pain on Sunday early morning on July 2nd. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance where the doctor found a blockage in her small intestines. She was rushed to surgery and a couple hours later the surgeon told us that all of her small intestines flipped and twisted cutting off the blood supply completely, and he had to cut them all out because her small(also called Superior) intestines were dead.
All we heard next was, Yeilla will not live and we should say our goodbyes. We were all devastated and in shock. A few hours later her brother Robert came in and said no there is something we can do. This is not possible that we will lose her today! So after doing research, Robert found a surgeon in Miami that could do a full small intestine transplant. So Thank God that we were able to successfully get her down to Miami’s Jackson memorial hospital (after several prayers and miracles from God!) via a helicopter flight. Jackson Memorial is the best transplant hospital in the United States. The family has many expenses staying in Miami for up to 3 months while Yeilla goes through all the steps to prepare her for the transplant.
We have already seen many miracles through this journey in the last ten days and we expect to see more. We appreciate all the prayers, and are so grateful for your generosity and love.
Jesus is with us.
Blessings,
Tracy and John Willey
