Vietnam Vet Dad Needs Help With Care

Donation protected
My Father is a 100% Disabled Service Connected Disabled Veteran who was exposed to Agent Orange in the Jungles of Vietnam. On January 4, 2013 my father suffered a heart attack; he was rushed to the South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL were he underwent emergency surgery. We notified the hospital of his medication needs several times in fact they had them in his chart from his last visit which was 3 weeks prior were my dad underwent a stent procedure. This time the hospital did not read the chart and did not give him his Depakote which is an anti seizure medicine causing my father to have several seizures this was explained to us by Dr. whoosley and then he apologized; he also apologized for myself my 8 year old son and my ex -wife who takes care of my father for not informing us that my dad tested positive for MRSA and that we were probably exposed to this contagious disorder; we are currently being tested. Getting back to the Seizures after my father had them he had to be put on life support in order to breath he was also sedated. After the Errors created by South Lake Hospital my father was Air Lifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center CVICU (Cardio Vascular Intensive Care Unit) were he continues to require the assistance of a breathing machine. My Father has now been in the Hospital for 15 days and the bills at home are piling up we are asking for your support to help offset some of the cost and for the hiring of a home care aids and nurses to help take care of my father as well as day to day expenses for our family so that we maybe able to spend as much time with our father. Today is may 16, 2013 my father has been in the hospital almost 5 months and with his insurance running out he will be discharged from Select Specialty Hospital on Monday the 19th. my dad has been in hospital now over 120 days. He will be coming home with a ventilator, peg tube in stomach so he can be feed and pic line in his chest as well as IV pumps oxygen Ballard suction device and so much more medical equipment.
