Help School Bus Monitor Heal and Return to Kids

As a School Bus Monitor, I secure Special Needs Kids to make sure they get safely to school by anchoring their wheelchairs, securing their safety vests, integrated seats and safety belts. I love my kids!

But emergency surgery for acute diverticulitis interrupted all of that. They saved my life! (For which I am most thankful — I almost died).

Sadly, I can’t return to my kids and bus until I get a medical release after my bowel dissection is reversed and fully healed.

My surgeon won’t do the reversal for at least nine months from today to ensure there’s no infection and scar tissue isn’t inflamed.

This happened while visiting my love and 

not while on the job. So the county school system can’t cover me, and I’m without medical insurance.

At $15.34 an hour and only a thirty-hour work week, I couldn’t afford the monthly premium as much as I wanted to.

It was the difference between paying for Medical Insurance or eating.

I am actively looking for work in the meantime — any job I can find to supplement me until I can return to my bus and kids. I’d rather work than ask for money!

As of now, I have zero income coming in. I was denied Medicaid by the state of GA and have a hospital bill of $99,893.13.

More Pressing: As of today, I have roughly $40 to my name aside from your generous donations which are trickling into my checking account a little at a time. That’s it and I hear the clock ticking…

I’m asking for whatever help you can provide.

I pay my rent early every week ($215) on Wednesday instead of Friday’s weekly due day.

Friday, I didn’t pay my rent for the first time and Pad Split added a $25 late fee. 

THAT, groceries and ongoing medical supplies are my pressing needs. Pad Split will keep racking up late fees weekly and make a bad situation worse.

I was able to pay rent yesterday (Tues. 4/14) ONLY BECAUSE OF YOUR HELP!

I’d like to start paying down medical debt and raising funds for my reversal surgery. But for now, I’m looking for the basics to survive. I’m hoping you’ll understand.

Please do whatever you can and I will be grateful beyond belief! I want to heal. I want to get back to my bus. I want to take care of my kids! Their Special Needs give me more in return than I could EVER give to them!
