Help Scott and Michelle Smith
Donation protected
In 2012 when Hurricane Sandy hit my good friend Scott Smith helped me spearhead a campaign here in St. Augustine to help collect donations for the victims of Sandy. We collected an estimated half a million dollars worth of donations (two 26 foot box trucks packed full) including water, food, toiletries, clothing, baby food, diapers and pet food which Scott personally drove up to Toms River, NJ and helped distribute over the course of 3 days. Scott took a week off of work to help with the effort. Last year Scott and his wife Michelle moved to Big Pine Key in the Florida Keys and unfortunately his house and all of his belongings were decimated in Hurricane Irma. I am trying to raise this money to give back to Scott for his generosity in helping all of my old neighbors in Toms River by helping rebuild his house and get his life back in order in the Keys. I know everyone is strapped but this would be an amazing way to say thank you for his contributions during Sandy.
