Help Scott as he fights Stage 4 Cancer!

Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Erin Jordan and I am the daughter of 51 year old Scott Jordan. My active and healthy father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non- Small Cell Lung Cancer this past April. Amazingly, a month before his diagnosis he signed up for the New York City marathon in November as one of his biggest passions in life is working out and being active. My dad has never smoked in his life, and the doctors attributed his cough to pneumonia at first, until the cough did not go away. These past months have been filled with many emotions, denial and shock but to say the least an overwhelming amount of resiliency. If you know our dad, you know he is one strong man. Never once have I, or anyone else, heard him complain or ask "why me?" instead, he has been making sure all of us are okay as we navigate this difficult time and has been awaiting new and different steps he can take to fight this disease. He is a man that gives, and now it's a time to give to him.

As of right now, our dad has had four rounds of extremely aggressive chemotherapy along with two rounds of immunotherapy in which the rounds are scheduled to continue for up to a year. Our dad is truly the definition of strength and hope. I wanted to share a quick story so you can have some insight on the man he is: I had the honor of taking him to one of his chemotherapy treatments about a month ago and as he was receiving the IV he logged on to one of his many work calls and stated “I’m here guys, just a little tied up at the moment but I can do it.” My sister and I have learned many lessons our entire life from my dad but this one will forever take the cake; there are no excuses in life, accepting the un-accepted and remaining a positive attitude filled with hope and strength.

We are writing you today to ask for your assistance in saving our father’s life as the treatment expenses are dramatically expensive. My family and I cannot put into words our gratitude for the support and prayers we continue to receive throughout this time. God is so good and we are thankful for the unwavering supportive community around us. This recent news has turned our lives upside down, but we truly believe there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

With hope,
Erin Jordan and Riley Jordan
