Help Scott G. Defeat Agressive Stage IV NHLymphoma
Donation protected
On March 16, 2016 my boyfriend Scott Grandy started his first round of Chemotherapy. This is after a whirlwind of an E.R. visit the month before, many tests/scans/bone marrow biopsy, followed by a diagnosis of Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma we were in shock.
EXtreme reactions to the Chemo they started that day, almost sent him into cardiac arrest. This was the first of 7 painstaking rounds of intense chemo with mass medications to lessen his terrible reactions. He handled it like a champ.
Fast forward-June 2018, PET scan to check how things are doing, something looks active, watch/wait three months.
October 2018-another PET scan-looking rather agressive and things have progressed to where we are sent to Cedars Sinai, met with the Specialist who says his NHL has morphed from Non-Follicular to a Diffuse Large B Cell Agressive Lymphoma. We talked about Stem Cell possibility and that will remain to be seen.
November 2018-Scott is going through yet more tough chemo therapy that is very tough on his body/kidney (he only has one) for three days straight with a port in his chest, and he has two more rounds of that to go still, this is to just slow it down to be able to assess what treatment will be next.
These last few months, Scott now has Medicare which they deduct from your Social Security, he has to have a Secondary Insurance, and a part D for many Prescriptions all of which add up to an unbelievable monthly expense!! These are things he Needs to fight this nasty cancer!! He has not had the prescription coverage for two months and the expenses are twice our rent....We have sold a vehicle, used up resources and I don't know what do do but ask, there is unfortunately no programs to help with all these costs of insurances and all else he has had to endure recently.
You will be helping him with his large Medical expenses and costs of traveling expenses to see the Specialists, and covering some of his living expenses due to the ongoing treatments he needs.
I humbly ask for any size donation or share of this page to any and everyone you can, along with, prayers, good vibes, happy thoughts and Love sent his way! This man has done a lot for me and this is the very least I can help him with.
Much Love and Blessings- Summer
