Help Scott Hamann with his medical bills

Hello everybody,
I'm putting up this gofundme to help my brother Scott navigate an unfortunate medical issue that has put him out of work temporarily and pushed his medical coverage beyond its limits. A few weeks ago, Scott had surgery to mitigate a subdural hematoma that doctors had discovered on his brain. The surgery, hospital stay and all the tests run and costs incurred have exceeded what his health insurance will cover. In addition, he's been unable to return to work, and when he does, he doubts he will be able to return in the same capacity. Doctors put him on anti-seizure medication following a seizure he suffered in the aftermath of the procedure, and have warned him that a recurrence of the hematoma could occur. I'll let him tell the full story in his own words:
Hey everyone, Scotty here.
So I have this thing that's been going on for more than a month now. It started one day at work when I was feeling sick to my stomach. I thought I was just experiencing something like a stomach bug or flu. I was near the end of my shift, and I was worried about getting on the bus, so I went to the restroom and relieved myself, hoping to feel better. That was followed by a few minutes of intense dry heaving. I thought I was okay as I went to the bus.
What followed about a half hour later was a headache that started and has lasted for over a month now. I didn't think it was anything I couldn't handle, so I started trying to handle it with one OTC med after another, not knowing until later that taking those meds was a big mistake.
After nothing worked, and after two weeks, I was at work and started having problems with my vision, like fluttery things in my eyes. I went home and went to urgent care the next day. I had no idea what was wrong.
I was given a CT scan and told that I had a subdural hematoma and was immediately shuttled to Swedish Hospital where I had a Craniotomy the next day.
I started feeling a little better about 5 days later, so I decided to take advantage of a train ticket I bought months ago to go and spend some time with some friends at a reunion at Glacier Park that had been planned for months.
The next day I had a seizure and spent several hours at a local hospital. I informed my friends what was going on and they and I all agreed that it was in my best interest to go home, back to Seattle. I went to Kaiser the day after getting home, and the prognosis was that the hematoma had improved, but I wasn't out of the woods yet.
Here's where I hope you come in.
I've been off work for almost a month, and it may be at least a week or two before I am cleared to go back to work. I'm working on getting approved for paid medical leave or temp disability. It could take weeks, even if it's approved.
I have crippling pride, and I hate asking for money, but here we are. Me, asking for your help.
I promise that, in the future, if you ever need help, I will be there for you, as I have many times when people have reached out in similar ways. I've always done it anonymously, but from now on, you'll know it's me.
Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated, and I hope that you know how much I appreciate you.
All my love and thanks,
Scott.
