Help Scott Sasso Get Back on His Feet
Donation protected
An out of work, 40-year veteran of the Audio Visual (AV) Industry, Scott Sasso, finds himself in a difficult situation. Due to a minor accident this past summer (July 2023) in the Outer Banks, that’s been complicated by the effects of diabetes and asthma, Scott now needs an amputation that will set him and his family back financially for quite some time. No one wants to need this kind of help; however, Scott has a long road ahead of him with multiple surgeries, rehabilitation, and medical supplies, including prosthetics, ramps, and adjustments to his home to make every day living more tolerable and accessible.
Not only is Scott well known in the AV Industry, but his wife Irene is also the only paid employee of the non-profit The Association for Quality in Audio Visual Technology (AQAV). If you’ve ever taken any of the AQAV classes, you are familiar with Irene (Director of Member Services), and Scott as a volunteer who has mentored hundreds of AV professionals that were enriched by his coaching and support.
As we all know, insurance doesn’t cover all the expenses. With Irene now being the sole source of income, and Scott having a lot of therapy ahead of him, this puts a tremendous burden on the decisions they must make going forward. The assistance that Scott will need will add pressure to Irene’s ability to work regularly. So, it is our goal to help Scott move forward in more ways than one.
We are setting the goal of $25,000 to alleviate some of the pressure. Please do whatever you can to help this fun loving, sweet guy get back on his feet. It will be greatly appreciated. Every little bit helps…thank you so much!!!
