Help Scottish Overcome Sudden Cardiac Arrest
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Destiny and I am raising funds for my brother in law Scottish Locke.
On Tuesday, May 28, Scottish (27yo) was at work and suffered an unexplainable cardiac arrest, which caused his heart to stop.
Luckily, a friend and co-worker was able to immediately start CPR on him, and he received life-saving CPR for 5 minutes until the ambulance arrived. He was admitted to a hospital in Oak Harbor, WA, where they discovered he suffered from sudden cardiac arrest. After determining he was stable enough to be transferred, he was air lifted from Oak Harbor to Seattle, WA. Since then, he has suffered short term memory loss and he has received multiple tests and scans to determine the cause of the arrest. All tests so far show him to be otherwise healthy. We still haven't received any answers as to why this happened, other than he might be part of the 3% of the population who suffer cardiac arrest with no underlying conditions.
Our goal with these funds is to help him and my sister, Rhed (Amanda), to be able to get through the aftermath of a sudden medical emergency. Since Scottish will not be able to work and may not qualify for disability, we want to be able to help support their daily lives (rent/food/pet care) as well as any residual medical costs.
Scottish is the most generous, loving, and kind person I have met, and even throughout this traumatic event, he still has a smile on his face. Though he is not genetically related to me, he is my brother and I would do anything to make sure he is taken care of.
