Help Scott & Sandy as Scott undergoes treatment for cancer.
My Uncle, Scott Sterner, has been diagnosed with a terminal bone marrow plasma cell disease called Multiple Myeloma. While his cancer can go into remission, it will always come back and treatments will be needed again. Diagnosed just last month, Scott is undergoing weekly chemo treatments at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia.
Scott and Sandy could really use help. Since Scott’s cancer diagnosis they now have so many new expenses such as traveling back and forth to Fox Chase in Philly, doctor co-pays, bills not paid for by insurance, etc.. Scott has to miss days of work sick days and paid time off are already used and with him missing at least 2 days a week for treatments and appointments, their monthly income has decreased significantly. Before this new financial hardship, they (like so many people) were living paycheck to paycheck.
The emotional, psychological and financial toll is very overwhelming and if we can alleviate some of it would be a big relief for both of them.
