Help Sean & Family recover from his heart attack.
On Monday, August 23, 2021, Sean Wheeler, while working at the family restaurant, Graysons Port Angeles, suffered a heart attack. EMS responded and transported Sean to Olympic Medical Center, Port Angeles, where his condition was stabilized. That evening Sean was transferred to St Michael Medical Center in Silverdale, WA. On Tuesday afternoon Sean was underwent an Angiogram which showed that his right coronary artery was 80% blocked. The blockage was cleared and a stent was inserted. He remained in ICU until Thursday when he was released to come home.
Sean and his wife own & operate the restaurant, where Sean is the chef and his wife Karli handles the front of the restaurant. They have had to shut down the restaurant for at least two weeks. Sean will need to rehab 3 times a week which will affect the operating hours of the restaurant when it reopens, In addition, he will have to meet with his cardiologist in Silverdale for the next six months to a year. He will also have regular lab tests to evaluate his system because of the meds he is required to take.
While Sean & Karli have minimal health insurance, the medical expenses for Sean's heart attack will far exceed their insurance. The time away from the restaurant, the medical expenses of continued rehabilitation, travel to & from Port Angeles to Silverdale, the new medications and the business expenses that don't stop when the restaurant is closed will affect Sean's well being in the foreseeable future.
We are asking for your assistance is raising at least $20,000 to help pay for these expenses which are accruing, many of which will come due in the next 6 to 8 weeks. If you can't afford a large gift, even a small amount can help .
