Help Sean Daniels Fight And Support The Family

Donation protected
Sean Daniels is a wonderful husband, father, friend and 45-year-old engineer who was just told he has Stage 4 adenocarcinoma (stomach cancer).

He and I first meet in 1991 when I was 15.  He and his mother were at our local festival in Ohio.  I went up to him and asked him out.  He said no he was leaving to go to college in Michigan.  He and I went on about our lives.

When he moved back to  go to Ohio State University, he started working at his Uncle’s bar and life led me there working as a waitress.  After a few months I  realized who he was when I remembered his car.

Sean and I started flirting .  I started to have feelings for him first and we eventually started dating.  It was long distance and only on the weekends for over a year.  It was rocky at times but  we made it work.

Sean accepted a job at Boeing in Washington (2001).  He asked me to go with him and I didn’t even hesitate. We went.

Three months ago Sean started having hunger pains.  The doctor thought he may have a stomach ulcer. He was on medication for 2 months but saw no improvement.

Finally, he was sent to a gastroenterologist on January 18, 2019 where they found a tumor in his stomach which turned out to be adenocarcinoma. Things moved very quickly after that.  At first the doctors said it was Stage 2, but after every test was done, they realized it was Stage 4 metastasis (spread to other areas of his body).

Sean never smoked or did drugs. He was always super healthy and fit – participating in the Tough Mudder and Spartan races, snowboarding and geocaching.  He’s a wonderful father and husband and loves to spend time with his kids who are 5, 7, 13 and 21.

He is a proud supporter of his son’s Boy Scout troop and den leader for his youngest’s Cub Scout group. Sean is hoping to go with his 13-year-old son’s Boy Scout troop to Philmont in 2020, Fulfilling a dream he’s had since he too was a young  boy scout.

Sean is a careful, conscientious and hardworking Engineer at Boeing. He’s been there since April 2001 and enjoy being part of that important industry. This can be seen whenever he wears his shirt that reads “Engineer: one who gets excited about things that no one else cares about”.

If it wasn’t for Sean, who knows where I would be today.  Sean has given me and our family so much.  Sean always put his family' and friends' needs ahead of his own. And they always count on him to help with whatever they needed.

“But now we must put his needs first”.

He started chemotherapy on Valentines Day February 14, 2019 and we are praying every day that it works.  Our family has a long road ahead of us.  We are asking for help with his medical expenses (which includes gas to get to the clinic and help with childcare while he is getting chemo and many other things) and any other unforeseen expenses.

I am asking you to join me in helping this man who I am so proud to call my husband.  Whatever you feel comfortable giving WILL make a difference, and WILL be gratefully appreciated.  Please donate what you can.   Feel free to share. Thank you for your generosity.
