Help SeaSweepers Turn Ocean Waste into Sustainable Goods

Donation protected
Join SeaSweepers in Miami for an interactive and revolutionary event showcasing how damaging marine plastics are transformed into sustainable consumer goods. In collaboration with our non-profit partners, SeaSweepers has recovered 4000 pounds of plastic traps, marine plastics and nets from Miami, the Florida Keys and the Bahamas, saving them from landfills and incineration.

This engaging event brings to light the challenges faced with cleaning the contaminants with marine plastics, and represents the second phase of the SeaSweepers SeaCycle Project, a breakthrough recycling exploration to prototype and document the underdeveloped marine plastics recycling process.

SeaSweepers is on a mission to revolutionize the plastics supply chain and how ocean plastic pollution is retrieved, recycled & reused. SeaSweepers has reimagined a sustainable supply chain to leverage technology to provide transparency, and digital platforms to support
sustainable business models.

We work with a vast partner network of ocean conservation non-profits and local governments to turn the ocean plastic tide. Our ecosystem is built on the belief that the responsibility for conservation work and protecting our planet must be shared, and will be the standard for long lasting and sustainable future business practices.

Project SeaCycle is a SeaSweepers initiative that develops and documents the essential steps on the marine plastics recycling journey from collection to transformation into new, sustainable products. This critical project illustrates how SeaSweepers has developed a unique and targeted solution to overcoming the challenges marine plastics face in the recycling process. Join us to create a world where ocean plastic can be recycled, and there is #nonewplastic!

ABOUT THE EVENT

COLLECT: In summer and fall 2024, SeaSweepers and our nonprofit partners cleaned up key conservation areas in Miami, Key West and the Bahamas, recovering nearly 4,000 pounds of “unrecyclable” plastic.

CLEAN: Join us on May 10, 2025 at Kenneth Myers Bayside Park, Miami from 1PM to 3PM for our inaugural SeaCycle event, where we’ll
unveil our groundbreaking system that transforms “unrecyclable” marine plastics. Featuring educational activities, community engagement, and a fun-filled plastic cleaning competition with prizes, this event is a celebration of innovation and action.
After a fun filled day of community action and ocean conservation, our cleaned plastics will head to Boston for processing into recyclable pellets. These materials will be transformed into building supplies, park benches, or even sunglasses. This marks the completion of our first trial project, proving that marine plastics can be recycled, and bringing us closer to a world with #nonewplastic!
