Help secure a safe home for my family

I’m tired of being scared for my families safety & we need to get out of this house… and sadly I’m not financially stable enough to do so.

Unfortunately I was let go from my job after 6 years in December 2023 & I have been struggling ever since…

This is was after a car crashed into the side of my home, November 2023… & we just fully recovered from this in March 2024.

Sadly, this was not the first time we’ve had a car hit anywhere in our yard/ fence/ tree line… but the first time that severely impacted us.

Fast forward to Friday, June 14th @ 11:00pm.

Jason & I were both in the kitchen when we heard loud tire screeching outside and we knew exactly what it was. PTSD immediately sunk in & I started balling my eyes out in fear. Jason pulled me back as we anticipated another car crashing into our house. (Not sure I’ve ever felt so scared in my life)

A SUV crashed into the front corner of our fence & luckily did not hit the house…

I’m beyond traumatized and this point and 100% NEED to get my family out of this house. At this point, I don’t know what else to do besides ask for help. Does it hurt my pride? Yes. But I’m willing to do whatever is needed to keep my children safe, yes.

I’m literally in fear for myself and my children honestly… this is getting way out of hand & my mental health cannot handle it anymore. I previously contacted the City of Jacksonville about putting in a speed bump or ANYTHING to help… but they seem to be dragging their feet to do anything.
