Help Secure Charlie's Future in Memory of Chip

Hello everyone. It seems impossible to be writing this, but on Saturday, July 20th, we all lost one of the absolute best people to ever walk this earth. Chip Davis died at home, suddenly and unexpectedly, leaving everyone he ever knew behind heartbroken, none more so than his family - particularly his wife, Amanda, and their not quite seven-month old son Charlie.
Chip was all light - both a bright, quick flame and warm, slow sunshine. His mind was always moving and problem-solving, his smile was always easy and real, his laugh infectious, and his arms open to everyone with love and heartfelt hospitality and generosity. He had an unparalleled knack for finding out something a person was interested in and matching that interest with his own in a genuine way, layering excitement, warmth, and humor over that connection to build sincere friendships that left a lasting impact everywhere he went.
That impact has been made clear in the outpouring of love from all the many friends, family, and communities Chip and his wife Amanda are part of. There have been countless requests to help support Amanda and Charlie during this time of abrupt and intense loss. In light of these requests, we are making this GoFundMe to help focus any monetary donations people would like to share.
At Amanda's request, all of these funds will be dedicated to Charlie's current needs and future aspirations. Chip was so excited to become a father and he loved Charlie (whose easy-going personality and quick smile and laugh come straight from his amazing dad) more than anything.
Any money raised here will be transferred to an account for Charlie and used for immediate needs (daycare, food, housing, toys), future hobbies and lessons (surely a child of Chip and Amanda will have a myriad of interests!), education (including a college fund), and some will be put aside for a trip when he's older to go to Novafeltria in Italy, to see the place where his parents first met and fell in love, a place that has always been so dear to Chip.
We are all so appreciative of any support anyone wants to offer here for Charlie. We are also aware that not everyone can give monetarily and want to express our thanks for all the support, groceries, meals, notes, visits, etc the family has received and continues to receive from everyone - the love of the community is certainly being felt.
Chip, we miss you so much.
Love, the families of Chip and Amanda
