Help Selina!

Hello friends and family,

We are raising funds for our friend Selina Hernandez. She is an alumnus from New Mexico Highlands University where she earned a degree in political science and played on the soccer, basketball, and softball teams. Selina is a state police officer with the New Mexico State Police. She has been in service for 9 years and has worked in Las Vegas and Albuquerque. Selina is an avid United Soccer fan and attends games regularly in Albuquerque.

On January 2, 2022 Selina was not feeling well and went to the emergency room. After undergoing testing here in Albuquerque doctors determined that she has Systolic Heart Failure. She was told that she was going to need a heart transplant and would need to be transferred out of state by airplane. After undergoing extensive testing out of state, it has been determined that Selina will continue with medication at this time and she is able to return home with weekly follow ups with her doctors out of state.

While we are all excited that Selina is able to return home, she has incurred medical bills due to her hospital stay, transportation and continued medical care. We are asking for donations to assist Selina with her medical bills, travel costs and continued medical care. At this time, it is unknown how long she will be under direct medical care.
