Help Senator with his Chronic Ear Polyps
Donation protected
Hi all!
My partner and I fostered failed/won this amazing Felv+ (Feline Leukemia Virus) little cutie two years ago. Because of his Felv+, he has had chronic inflammation in his right ear due to polyps. Austin Pets Alive surgically removed some of the polyps before we adopted him, but more formed. At that point, Austin Pets Alive offered to remove his ear canal. I was unsure, so I took him to my private vet; they wanted to remove the polyps before removing the entire ear canal. We did a GoFundMe last year for this surgery, and after the procedure, he did well for a while. Unfortunately, though, the polyps grew back. Since this is a chronic condition for him, it is costly. However, a surgical technique called ventral bulla osteotomy should help reduce the chances of the polyps returning. If you are interested, here is a medical article about it:
I offered digital pet portraits on the first GoFundMe I created for Senator. That said, I would like to provide this service again to help raise funds.
Thanks for reading this and considering helping this little guy out!
