Help Send Crew Lambro to Wrestle in Japan

Donation protected
UPDATE! Huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped Crew reach his goal in less than 24 hours! What a testament to how loved Crew and the Lambro family are. We are turning off donations and the extra funds raised will be given to his teammates still in need. Thank you, thank you!! Crew will be sharing his experience on his social media as well as Tina’s Facebook.

Crew was one of 12 Washington state wrestlers selected by the Washington State Wrestling Coaches Association to travel to Japan as a part of the Washington State Wrestling Cultural Exchange this June. Each wrestler is asked to provide $3,000 to cover cost of travel plus spending money. His goal is $3,500 - any extra funds raised will be given to his teammates still trying to reach their fundraising goals. Please consider supporting Crew on this trip of a lifetime!

He will travel across Japan for 12 days visiting Yamaguchi, Hiroshima, Okayama, Tottori and Shimane. He will be staying with host families and experiencing the Japanese culture while taking part in some of the best wrestling the world has to offer.

For anyone who knows the Lambro family, you know wrestling has been a huge part of their lives for many years. Countless hours and Saturdays spent in gyms across WA state and in recent years, across the country. For Crew especially, wrestling has been his passion since he was 5 years old. He has trained several days a week for the last few years to get to where he is today - recently placing 5th in the 4A high school state tournament as a freshman, with big goals to improve on that next year. He is highly respected by his coaches and fellow wrestlers for his work ethic and dedication to the sport.

Wrestling as a sport creates a unique feeling of camaraderie and community that spans the globe. Through the Washington State Wrestling Cultural Exchange, both Japanese and WA state athletes, are given the opportunity to travel as ambassadors for their countries and their sport while wrestling with the best of the best. The Lambro family has hosted two separate groups of Japanese boys over the last few years and each time leaves them with unforgettable memories and an appreciation for the Japanese culture. Despite language barriers, the boys stay up late sharing stories, playing video games and laughing until they cry. Just ask any of the boys - they have stories upon stories to share.

We are all so proud of Crew and are asking you to help us make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity possible for him! Any contribution big or small is more than appreciated. He’s also up for earning your support! Car wash, yard work, etc - let him know! Thank you so much! Or should we say “arigatou gozaimasu!”
