Help Send Howard to Berklee College of Music

Hi there! My name is Howard Godfrey and I'm a senior at Evanston Township High School. I'm also a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer. This fall I plan to attend Berklee College of Music to study composition/vocal performance. During my time in high school I was heavily involved in their music & theatre departments. I participated in the marching band, jazz band, choirs and musicals. I also studied at The Musical Offering, a community music in Evanston. There I wrote 4 original, student-run musicals, for 2 of which I was the sole writer, director & composer.  I've received several honors from the Illinois Music Educators Association for my compositions. Music has been my passion for as long as I can remember and I've known for a while that it's what I want to pursue. My fear was that I would have to limit myself to studying one area of music, but Berklee gives me the opportunity to  explore all of my musical interests. Unfortunately, the cost of attendance is very high. This includes tuition, housing, books & materials, etc. 

I come from a single parent household with 4 children and I'm a first generation college student. My mother works a full-time job in order to support my 3 sisters and me, which limits our ability to pay for college, even after  financial aid & scholarships. We don't expect this to fully cover the cost of attendance, but any contributions would be greatly appreciated!
