Indy has been invited to the SCRIPPS National Spelling Bee! It's a once-(or twice)-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Ian D. (Indy) Austin placed third in this year's El Paso Times Regional Spelling Bee, making him the third best speller in the region, the second best speller in El Paso, and the top speller in the YISD!
After three very difficult years for Indy and our family, this is a ray of sunshine - one which he earned through hard work and dedication despite the background noise.
Help make Indy's dream of participating in the SCRIPPS National Spelling Bee come true by helping us fund his entry fee ($1,500) and hotel stay ($1,900+) - these things aren't for us middle class folk. The hotel stay is mandatory for 6 days. We're covering airfare, rental, and meals/expenses, but these other fees are steep!
Our window is very tight, so be generous and be quick.
