Help Send Katie Off To College!

Hi everyone! My name is Katie. I am so excited about the next step in my life journey which is taking me to Radford University this fall. From the time I was two years old, music has been my passion. My dream is to use my vocal and instrumental talents in harnessing the power of music for the benefit of those who struggle with mental and emotional disabilities. So I am thrilled to have been accepted at the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Radford where I will work toward a degree in music therapy!

Thanks to the efforts of my parents who have built my college fund since I was a baby, my tuition at Radford is covered. But I will need lots of help with housing and other living expenses my parents can barely afford right now, especially as my full-time schedule of classes will keep me from holding a job. I recently signed the first lease of my life on a rental home which I’ll be sharing with three other roommates, so I will have to pay my share of monthly rent and utilities. I’ll also need help with meals, gas and other day-to-day necessities. Plus I’ll be moving 250 miles away from home!
