Help Send Mike Bell to the DNC

The Democratic Party is hosting an historic convention in Chicago, August 19-22, 2024. I was elected to participate in the Democratic National Convention (DNC) as an at-large delegate from Colorado. My voice will be one of 87 from Colorado to cast a vote for Kamala Harris to be the next President of the United States.
But first, I need your help! The estimated cost to attend the DNC is $2500. This includes, but is not limited to, travel costs, hotel, and food.
So, why donate? Two simple reasons:
1. You believe that Kamala Harris is the best choice to succeed President Biden as our next Commander-in-Chief and that Gov. Tim Walz should be our next Vice President!
2. You agree that I will make my voice heard at the DNC.
I ran to be a Delegate because:
1. I believe Vice President Kamala Harris is the best candidate for President of the United States.
2. I believe that the Democratic Party needs to find better ways to communicate with rural voters. We can win in rural America. We need to do a better job at understanding what these voters want to hear from our candidates.
3. I believe that we need to modernize the way our Party communicates and conducts business. Technological advances are outpacing our ability to communicate with voters too quickly. We can, and must, be better at educating ourselves and our communities on how we leverage these advances to further our cause.
A little about me: I am a PhD Student at the University of Colorado at Denver’s School of Public Affairs. My research focuses on rural-urban partnerships and how communities manage utilities (water, electricity, and internet access). I am also a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves. I deployed overseas three times (Afghanistan, Qatar, and Jordan) during my 17-year long career as a Military Intelligence Officer. Additionally, I am the owner/operator of Bell’s Nest, an online bookshop (which costs me more to run than it earns). Born and raised in Boston, MA, I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts in Astronomy in 2005 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2008. I went on to graduate from George Mason University with a Masters in Public Policy in 2021. While a student at UMass, I served as a member of the Amherst Town Council and on the Amherst Leisure Services Board and Board of Assessors.
After moving to Virginia, I served as Vice Chair of the Prince William County Neabsco District Democratic Party, Chair of the Prince William County Young Democrats, and Chair of the Prince William County Progressive Caucus. Over the years, I volunteered for local, state, and national Democratic campaigns in Massachusetts and Virginia prior to knocking doors and making phone calls for our great candidates in Colorado. I attended state conventions in Massachusetts, Virginia, and Colorado and now, with your help, I’m finally heard to my first Democratic National Convention!
