Hi Everyone! My name is Nolan, I am 13 years old.
A few months ago, I auditioned for A Cappella Academy, an intensive 10-day program in Los Angeles where young vocalists ages 13 to 18 from all around the world come together to learn, connect and study music in an immersive and fun environment. I am so excited to announce that out of hundreds of young performers from all over the world, I am among the few selected for the summer 2019!
Music has been such a huge part of my life for forever! It has given me a way to express myself and share with others. I have been a member of Showstoppers Performing Arts, Inc - a non-profit community service singing troupe in Mattapoisett, MA https://www.facebook.com/showstopppers.us/ - since I was 9 years old. We perform at all sorts of community events, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. I love giving back to the community through my music.
I have also been performing throughout MA and RI for the past 4 years including at the Stadium Theatre in Woonsocket, RI and more recently at Break a Leg Theater Works in Plymouth, MA. I just love singing a cappella and in 2017, and I won New England’s Got Talent as a one-person a cappella group. Here is my winning performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeSIrIU3l4g
A Cappella Academy would be an amazing opportunity for me to learn and grow as a musician and performer. This is not just an amazing experience, it is an incredible environment for a young vocalist to be in. I hope to learn from others to further my skills in vocal music, and in turn bring what I learn to others.

This unbelievable opportunity does come with expenses. Tuition for the camp is $1,995, not including airfare and other travel expenses. My parents have always been incredibly supportive of my musical activities, and this is no exception. But this is something I really want to do on my own, and I need your help to get there! Please help send me to A Cappella Academy this summer by donating. No amount is too small, I really appreciate any help at all! This is who I am and I can’t wait to be around other kids like me.
Thank you so much!
Nolan
Any extra funding will go into my college savings account where my dream is to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston!
