Help Send PWHS's Odyssey of the Mind Team to Worlds!
Donation protected
Plymouth Whitemarsh High School's Odyssey of the Mind Classics team has done it again-- shown that they can hold their own against even the largest, most established programs in the state. On April 6, this team had its strongest showing ever, placing 2nd at the PA State Finals and earning a spot to compete at the 2024 World Finals at Iowa State University! There they will compete against talented teams from all over the United States and across the globe.
What is Odyssey of the Mind? Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem-solving competition. Teams of students work together, applying their skills and imaginations to develop and present solutions to problems that can range from building mechanical structures and vehicles to re-imagining literary classics.
This year, these remarkable students re-established Odyssey of the Mind as an official club at the high school and took on the responsibility of running afterschool practices after the advisor who used to run the Odyssey program retired. Despite being very busy with academics, jobs and other extracurriculars, these upperclassmen devoted hours upon hours towards earning a spot on the world stage and now they've done it! This is especially meaningful as one of the members is a graduating senior.
But the team needs your help. The competition is May 21-25th so there's not much time to raise the money to be able to attend. Donations will help pay for travel, room and board, and competition costs for our 7 team members and 2 coaches. The team is responsible for most of the money needed, so every little bit can help! If you can't donate, please share this and spread the word!
Thank you!
