Sha'Miyae Hinton-Knight is a 10 year old girl from Baltimore who loves to be of service to others. She started to show the 'spirit of giving' at the age of 4, when she gave a homeless man her food. Since then, she has become a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House and works with local organizations to serve food to those in needs around Baltimore. Inspired by the circumstances of those she meets, Sha'Miyae recently created a business called, "Gifted Hearts," a local liturgical dance performance and ministry. When she receives a love offering for her performances and ministering, Sha’Miyae then uses the money to purchase food for the homeless and to purchase gifts for the children of murdered parents.
In addition to her volunteer service and business, Sha'Miyae is an accomplished pageant titleholder. In fact, she started competing in pageants when she was 5 years old. Upon becoming a pageant coaching client of Be Victorious Pageant Prep, Sha'Miyae started to win major titles, including the 2018 Miss Heart of Charity Sweetheart and the 2019 National American Miss Maryland Junior Preteen. Furthermore, Sha'Miyae is a student at the Baltimore International Academy, a local full immersion school, where she studies daily in French.
Sha'Miyae is proud to live by her platform; through her service, academics, and entrepreneurial pursuits, she hopes to inspire other inner city youth. She wants them to know that if they work hard and put their minds to it, their dreams can come true. Sha'Miyae also wants her fellow inner city youth to know that: no matter how young they are, they can make a difference in their community too.
Although she has already accomplished so much, this Baltimore girl is still dreaming big. In the future, she plans to become Miss Universe and a professional dancer in Paris. Stay tuned to see what else this amazing young woman accomplishes in her future!
