Help Send Snyder Track & Field To Nationals

Friends, Family, Alumni and Fans of the sport, we are excited to announce that Henry Snyder’s boys and girls track teams have qualified to attend Nationals this year in Greensboro, North Carolina, June 16th-19th.

 

This year has been tough on the athletes after the sudden loss of Snyder girls head coach Robert Arena. It isn't easy to put what his student-athletes meant to him. Coach Arena believed in his girls before they believed in themselves. He spent countless afternoons, evenings, and weekends fostering a culture of dedication, determination, and hard work. Coach Arena always said, hard work is more important than talent, and that hard work paid off.

 

These athletes have set goals and worked very hard towards them all year. Proof that “The Work is Worth It” is not only them qualifying but attending this prestigious event. Unfortunately, their talent alone will not get them to North Carolina. Your donations will pay for 11 athletes' travel expenses, hotel accommodations, entry fees, meals/snacks and other necessities needed while at Nationals.

 

 

Let me tell you a little about these athletes:

 

The girls have won 8 out of 8 in county Championships to date, 5/10/22

First-time Jc Cross Country, South Hudson and Hudson County Champions.

State Group 3 indoor champions in the sprint medley relay.

Indoor Jersey City, Hudson County Relay and Hudson County Individual Championships

Indoor Nike Nationals EE Champions in Sprint Medley

Indoor Adidas National Champions In Sprint Medley

Outdoor Penn Relay 4x400 Winners on both the boys and girls team

Individual Penn Relays Triple Jump Champion

Outdoor Jersey City, Hudson County relay champions.

 

We have over 13 All-County Athletes Through two seasons so far.

 

Our senior athletes will be continuing their running careers in college next fall at Lincoln University, Rutgers University, NJIT, Dominican College, NJCU, & Bethany College, respectively.

 

It will be a wonderful trip for them, not just from a track standpoint, but also because they will be able to travel outside this urban jungle and experience life in another state.
