Help send the Schaffer Kids to Filmapalooza!

Donation protected
This year, at Portland’s annual 48 Hour Film Project, the title of Best Film was awarded to The Schaffer Kids! The team also won Best Actor (Casey Emmerling) and Best Directing (Wade Fisher).

The Schaffer Kids are former Sandy High School Digital Media students of Andrew Schaffer, and other SHS alums. For winning, they have been invited to Filmapalooza in Lisbon, Portugal in March 2024. At Filmapalooza, their film will go up against 150 other winning films from around the world for a chance to be shown at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in May 2024.

In addition, the students also won an invite to a second, exclusive worldwide 48 Hour Film Project this December. Both of these events represent huge opportunities for everyone involved as they pursue further opportunities in the world of film. This win also demonstrates the importance of Career Technical Education in public schools, and the need to support these programs in Oregon.

Your support will help the team cover travel expenses to Portugal, and entry fees to Filmapalooza itself. As thanks for your support, the name of each donor will also be added to the credits of their December 48 Hour Film Project entry!
