Village , Trinity needs our support NOW

Hi, my name is Heather, and I am Trinity's mother. This upcoming summer, I am creating this fundraiser for Trinity to attend UC Berkeley Summer Pre-College Scholars: Summer Residential Track. Trinity is a fantastic 16-year-old sophomore in high school and takes college classes. Her goal is to graduate high school with honors and her AA degree from Cuyamaca College. Trinity dreams of attending UC Berkeley once she completes high school and enter the dual degree program that allows her to obtain two different degrees by attending college at Berkeley and attending college in France at the University of Po. Right now, her passion lies in becoming a Forensic Pathologist (Medical Examiner) and later entering politics.

Currently, Trinity is Chair of Project Ready program thru The San Diego National Urban League, and she also participates in FANCY, Reality Changers and California HOSA. She participates in all the above programs while working part-time and studying, maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

Recently, Trinity has experienced the unimaginable: Her Great- Grandmother passed away from cancer in October, right before her 16th birthday. Then shortly after, her father passed away suddenly. She spent the holidays trying to regroup herself and get back on track.

Trinity found this fantastic program that allows her to go to UC Berkeley for eight weeks and stay on campus and take two college classes while experiencing what college life would be like. But unfortunately, the cost for the program is far beyond my budget as a mother. The eight-week program is $15,100, and then the application fee is 25.00. I'm unsure if there will be any other fees, but any extra monies will be given to Trinity for expenses and to cover the cost of taking her to the college and picking her up.
