Help send us to the 2024 Vex World Championships!

Hello! We are a Vex Robotics team from Freedom and De Pere, WI. On March 3, 2024 we competed at the 2024 Wisconsin State Vex IQ Robotics Middle School Championship. We competed against the top 48 teams in the state and won the Design Award, which means we will be 1 of only 4 teams to represent the state of Wisconsin at the World Vex Robotics Championship in Dallas, Texas, on May 1-3, 2024!

The Vex IQ Design Award recognizes an organized and professional approach to the Engineering Design Process, project and time management, and team organization. Student demonstration of the Engineering Design Process is fundamental to the educational value of REC Foundation programs. The Design Award recognizes a team's ability to document and explain their Engineering Design Process via an Engineering Notebook and Team Interview.

Our team has been competing in Vex Robotics for 5 years. This season, our team members Jonah (8th grade), Jason (8th grade), Alex (7th grade) and Nolan (7th grade) chose the team name Cheesehead Engineering and started working in September. We invested countless hours into designing, building, coding, and testing our solution to this year's challenge, Full Volume:

This is the third time our team has qualified for the World Championship, with this season providing the fiercest competition we've ever experienced at the state level. We were honored and very excited to win the chance to represent our state this year, especially as this is the final year for Jonah and Jason to compete. To attend the World Championship, there is a registration fee of $1,800.00. That doesn't include any travel expenses, lodging, meals, etc. Money we raise will apply towards covering the registration fee first, and then anything additional will be used to offset the team's travel expenses.
