Help Send Wayland Wildcats Robotics #6090 to Houston

The Wayland Wildcats Robotics Team #6090 has had an amazing season. After winning multiple in-season awards, the West Michigan District event & a Finalist Award at the Michigan State Championship Aptiv Division, we received a coveted invitation to this year’s World Championship.
Did you know it costs $10,000 alone just for our in-season event registrations? While most of these registration fees are covered by our amazing sponsors, our parents cover all costs for transportation, food, and incidentals throughout the season.
While a generous sponsor will cover our entry fee in Houston and our parents have committed to a large portion of the budget, we still need the community’s help.
You can help cover team accommodations, meals, and transportation costs in Houston.
We would LOVE for our kids to experience the opportunity to meet and compete against other talented students from around the world, learn from experts in the field of robotics, and gain valuable skills that will help them succeed in their future careers. Furthermore, this experience would be a source of pride and motivation for our entire school community.
The FIRST World Championship will occur in Houston, Texas from April 17-20. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an organization that aims to inspire young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through robotics competitions
