Help Sergio Breathe Easy: Support His Rhinoscopy
Donation protected
Sergio was rescued by someone else from a housing project in Baltimore city…it was thought he had a bad upper respiratory but it turns out he has a nasal obstruction. When the original rescuer was no longer able to take care of him, I took him on….he’s been with me for 2 months now.
Sergio is the sweetest, most docile except when he’s playing with Da Bird boy. All he wants is pets…and pets….and pets….he lives for them.
Thanks to Show Your SoftSide’s street kitty medical fund for funding the initial costs of Sergio’s medical care….this got the ball rolling and I’m grateful for all their help with Sergio and the many others before him.
I been footing the bill for subsequent vet visits which has been financially manageable until now!
We knew this day was coming and today we set up an appointment for Sergio to have a rhinoscopy this Thursday under the expert and compassionate hands of Dr. Karen Hoffman (Medical Director at OSSVH) and Dr. David Saylor, a preeminent vet, now semi-retired and doing what he loves…..treating diseases of the ear, nose and throat (he wrote the book, I understand ). Plus he’s got his own equipment. I’m grateful for both of them.
The estimate is $1,290-$2,787. The high end is dependent on what they discover during the rhinoscopy and what further diagnostics need to be done.
I’m reaching out for donations to help me out…when I was working, I could have covered on my own, but as a retiree, it’s harder now.
Thanks if you can help, our appointment is Thursday, July 18!
