Help Sergle Get A Reduction 2: Electric Boobaloo

Hi! I'm Sara, aka Sergle, and I'm a freelance artist. I've been planning toward a medically necessary, desperately wanted breast reduction for years, and earlier this year, after losing my entire savings to taxes, I finally took the plunge and started a GoFundMe to get it done. I asked for help, and in an incredible turn of events, I GOT it! People were overwhelmingly kind and supportive, and we quickly reached my set goal of $19,000: $15,000 for the estimated surgery, and another $4k for padding (ha) to help me with flight costs, post-op stuff, medical tack-ons, and so on.

I thought this would be MORE than enough, and people were so generous that we smashed that goal way quicker than I expected!! But when I reached out to a number of surgeons, I kept getting met with cost estimates that exceeded my expectations. Finally, I asked for a straight estimate, and got hit with a quote for $23,000. I figured there would be some surprise expenses, but I didn't expect the price to be this inflated.

So here I am: back with a new, updated goal, but with all the same intent in mind. I need this surgery. Right now, my perfectly-fitted bra size is a 34J. The weight from my chest drags my shoulders forward every day. So much of my time is spent on pain management for my back and shoulders. It's difficult to draw or pack orders for long when my back and shoulders start burning. I'm tired of spending so much money on bras, of sounding like applause when I go down my staircase, of the sweat, of clothes never fitting me, of the bra indents. I've been fantasizing about getting this weight off my chest for years. This is huge for me.

If this was difficult for me to ask for last time, it's harder now. I'm still shocked by the price tag for what should be a simple surgery. I relied on the support of other people before, and I'm going to try and do it again. I could really, really use your help.
