Serrano Family, After Effects of Major Car Crash

It seemed like another typical day. The day after Christmas Jacob was on his way back to work(he’s a self employed contractor). I was home 8 months pregnant with our 21 month old toddler finishing breakfast. I got a call from an unknown number, almost not answering it because of the abundance of spam calls this Holiday season. Something told me it was important. Answering, I get the call No wife wants to receive. My husband, the father of our children had been in a serious accident. The vehicle hit black ice lossing traction. The SUV then swerved into on coming traffic, when my husband attempted to correct this to prevent hitting on coming cars, the vehicle over corrected rolling twice, plowing through a Bobwire fence ending upside down in a ditch.
Good samaritans had seen the accident and stoped to help. Very worried about the condition of the driver in the vehicle. Runnning to the crash they hoped for the best and expected the worst. The police, fire department, and ambulance were all called.
By the Grace of God, Jacob crawled out of the vehicle. It seemed impossible. Hearing his voice on the phone was eerie. A normally strong and commanding voice was very shaking. I rushed over to the accident, barely holding it together when I saw the wreck. Worried about what injuries he may have.
At the hospital we waited for hours for tests to be completed. Jacob came out of the crash with deep bone bruising to his leg, chest, and shoulder. Hairline fractures to his ribs, and a bad concussion from hitting his head twice on the windshield.
By the grace of God his injuries were not more serious. We are so thankful for that.
With our family being blessed with a new baby soon. The medical expenses, loss of ability to work and totaled work vehicle are something our family doesn’t know how we are going to pay for. We are turning to the help of our friends, family, community, and God. We don’t know what we will do with the birth of our 2nd child being weeks away. We have never experienced something like this before. If you are someone who can make a difference for our family this holiday season, we would greatly appreciate any help. UPDATE:
We had our baby! What a blessing from God our little angel has been ❤️ An update on Jacobs recovery. His head is not healing properly, so he needs to do more tests. These test will be quite costly on top of the financial strife we are already experiencing. Because Jacob has been mostly out of work our bills have been piling up. We have been selling many of our possessions to help our money situation. Some local organizations have also blessed us with some help, and we are so grateful. Please help us with our GoFundMe.
