Help Seth Schultz Overcome this debilitating disease!

My husband, Seth Schultz has been fighting a debilitating diagnosis since October 2023. He has had multiple lab draws, diagnostic tests, MRIs and consults to figure out what is going on with his body. In October he had a pretty rapid onset of muscle weakness, fatigue, burning sensations throughout his body and pain. We had a thorough work up at UW health and decided to go to Mayo Clinic in Rochester to get a second opinion. After months of repetitive labs, procedures and additional diagnostic tests, they have also diagnosed him with Fibromyalgia. I have learned so much about this disabeling disease and realize we have a long road ahead of us. Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues. Researchers believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain and spinal cord process painful and nonpainful signals. Symptoms often begin after trauma, surgery or infections. We think this could have been triggered by the back surgery that ended in a severe case of a meningitis infection a few years prior. He has not been able to work since October 2023 Mayo Clinic has been his second home. They have a 3 week intense program to help brain training by reversing the problem that the nervous system has with interpreting pain signals. He would need to stay in Rochester during this 3 week program. In order for him to be able to do this intense therapy he will require multiple hotel stays, food and gas to drive back and forth from Wisconsin. Parking alone for one day is $20. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. We are all fighting for him. The kids just want their goofy, active, hard working father back. Love to all!
