Help Seyla Recover and Rebuild from Home Burglary

Seyla is a passionate and talented self-employed musician, writer, director, and editor. She has written, directed, and produced music videos and short films; and is the bassist/vocalist in the band Toward Space.

 

On 5/12/22, she was the victim of a home burglary. Among the items stolen were her laptop and external hard drive. These contained her unfinished writing and film projects, many of which cannot be recovered. The loss of these film projects and many writing pieces has been devasting emotionally and to her career. It has also impacted her ability to work and support herself as a freelance videographer and editor. Without the tools needed to work, she will likely have to cancel and/or postpone upcoming paid gigs. The theft of her laptop and the hard drive has been incredibly difficult emotionally and has created great financial stress for Seyla.

 

We are raising money to help Seyla purchase a new laptop and hard drive and support her in covering the cost of living expenses while she is unable to work. Getting back to work will help Seyla move forward in re-imagining and re-creating what was lost.
