SAVE this immigrant-owned business!! San Francisco Minibus, a long-standing business that has been a vital part of the Bay Area, employing hundreds of San Francisco residents and serving the wider community for over 45 years, has been hit hard by a string of catastrophic events. Around 10 PM on April 9, 2023, a dozen of their buses were set on fire in an act of suspected arson. This unexpected and devastating loss has left the company reeling, especially because the insurance will not fully cover all the damages.

Unfortunately, this was not the first time that San Francisco Minibus has had to endure such losses. One of their buses was previously stolen and taken for a joyride, causing significant damage to the vehicle. The company has also been a repeated victim of theft and vandalism, with critical components such as catalytic converters (each costing $2,000-3,000) stolen from their vehicles and buses sprayed with graffiti. The business survived the pandemic and the string of vandalism and theft, but this devastating fire is contributing to the death knell of the company.
The rise of crime in San Francisco has caused small businesses like San Francisco Minibus to struggle to survive. The situation is dire, and we need to take action to help small businesses like San Francisco Minibus rebuild and recover.
We are creating this GoFundMe campaign to help San Francisco Minibus recover from these devastating losses. The funds raised will go towards replacing the buses that were destroyed in the fire, repairing the damage caused by previous theft and vandalism, and helping the company cover the costs of payroll and other expenses. We cannot overstate the importance of these buses in ensuring the continued employment of the company's drivers and providing services to its clients.
San Francisco Minibus is a family-owned business, led by our grandparents who immigrated to America in search of a new life for their family. They dedicated themselves to this company for nearly half of their lives and their story truly exemplifies the American dream. We grew up with special memories, taking rides on the buses, visiting our grandparents at the office, and hearing stories from them and our uncles. We want to honor the company they love and the legacy they built, knowing the sacrifices they made for all of us.
Please join us in supporting San Francisco Minibus and its dedicated employees who rely on this small business to make ends meet. Let's come together as a community to rebuild and restore San Francisco to its former glory, where small businesses like San Francisco Minibus can thrive and contribute to the fabric of the city.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
