Help Shaleah pay for college

Hello, my name is Shaleah Ferman, and I am an incoming freshman at St. John’s University. In order to pay for school and housing, I worked 2 jobs in Kentucky. I have just recently moved to Newark, NJ, which is about a 1.5-hour commute to my school. But the situation is that I cannot afford my schooling on my own. I cannot work 2 jobs and be a full-time college student, so I have made this GoFundMe in hopes of tuition help. My tuition is $8,000 a semester. For the fall semester, I have already paid 4k down, but I have an additional 4k to go. I have no parental help, so loans are not really an option because I have no cosigner. Housing wise, I live in Newark, New Jersey, with 2 roommates that I used to consider my friends that are also from ky because it was the cheapest option. Unfortunately, 2 days into living in Jersey, I got into a physical fight with my male roommate, and now I feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Even so, my overall goal in this is to get my education. I’m hoping that this space will be able to help me finish paying my rest of the semester tuition so that I can use any other money I have to find a better living situation. My hope is that I somehow can get into St. John’s dorms because I am an out-of-state student and the commute from Newark is rough and would be very costly since I have classes every day.
