Help Shamus Get Life-Saving Surgery

Meet Shamus, a spunky little dog with a big heart who’s been through a lot but continues to spread love and joy wherever he goes. When we met Shamus, he went directly into a hospice foster because of his severe condition - his colon was damaged due to untreated hernias that caused a lot of pain and made even the simplest things, like going to the bathroom, a real struggle. Thankfully, Shamus had an initial surgery to remove the infected part of his colon, which provided some relief. However, he now needs a second surgery to tack his colon securely back in place to prevent ongoing issues and to improve his quality of life.

In addition to the colon surgery, this surgery will also allow the vet to remove a few tumors while they're in, ensuring Shamus can lead his best life. Despite his challenges, Shamus is a spirited little guy who loves his daily walks, snuggling under blankets, and, of course, stealing them too!
