Help Shana Furlow Fight Cancer

On December 19th of 2018, Shana went for a colonoscopy after suffering for months in pain. After waking and recovering from the colonoscopy procedure, Shana was given the most devastating news.  Shana was diagnosed with Stage lllA Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer at only 34 years of age. Shana finished her first round of radiation on March 1st. As she is currently recovering from radiation, she will have an invasive surgery to remove the tumor, and will need another round of chemotherapy over a 4-month period.  The surgery date is not yet known. The complications and side effects from her cancer medications and radiation has made working virtually impossible. Her doctor’s appointments and treatments are very time-consuming, as well as taking a toll on her physical well-being and body. She is constantly in chronic pain and has no energy from treatment and medications.  

Already on medical leave from work, the state of her health has cut down her income significantly. Shana has a long road of recovery ahead of her and will be racking up debt from medical bills and co-pays, as her insurance does not cover all of the expenses. She is the one of the strongest women I know and would like to help lighten some of the stress from her.  If you have ever had the chance of meeting this incredibly strong, beautiful soul, I am also asking you to help Shana through this difficult time.
